How Would I Know if My Computer Needs to be Repaired?


At present, we consider having a computer unit as a basic necessity.  Whether you are a business owner or a regular employee, there are many daily tasks that you do through your computers. It has been a significant part of our life to own a computer or a laptop to aid us in our daily tasks. It can be considered as important as having a car because you need it almost everywhere you go – even at work or at home.
However, like cars, computers also need to be maintained and repaired. Frequently, your computers are giving you some warnings that they need to be repaired. You may have not recognized or you may have neglected these signs, but, how would you know if your computers need to be repaired?

1.       Physical damage. This is one of the most prominent sign that your computer needs technical attention. 2.       Your computer is running slowly. There must be some times wherein your computer screen freezes – the cursor doesn’t move or your keyboard doesn’t seem to work. This may also be caused by low memory or your drive is full. There are also some cases that it is caused by computer problems that need to be repaired by a computer technician.
3.       It overheats. All computers have a built in cooling system that usually comes in a form of small fan that distributes the air throughout the control processing unit (CPU) to avoid overheating. However, there are some instances where the cooling system is not functioning properly. There are also some cases where there is some dust buildup that blocks the airflow.
4.       You are getting error messages. If you keep receiving many error messages, then you must check whether these are caused by a corrupted program or virus. Sometimes, this can’t be easily fixed with anti-virus software, so you may need to seek for a professional assistance to resolve this.
5.       Your computer is infested with virus/es. Computer viruses vary depending on their effect in a computer. There are minor viruses that can be detected easily and fixed by an anti-virus software. However, there are some viruses that cause major problems to a computer which, in worst cases, damages the entire computer. In times like this, there is a need for an immediate action from a professional technician.

These are just some of the few signs that your computer is in danger and needs to be attended urgently.  Ignoring these warnings may cause severe problems or could even lead to unit replacement. Computer repairs may be costly but further computer damage is even worse.  Would you risk?
